Genya Goodwin, LPPC-S
Director of Clinical Services

Genya Goodwin presently works as the clinical supervisor at Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc. She earned her Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in community counseling from the University of Akron and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio University. Genya has been in the counseling profession for over 20 years. Her extensive experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked in private practice, hospitals, schools, community agencies and the court system. 

She has provided treatment for individuals with mental health and chemical dependency issues. Her special interests include mood disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders. Special training includes: training from the University Behavioral Healthcare Center for Excellence in Psychiatry. The training was: Partners for Excellence in Psychiatry: Neuroscience Treatment Team Partner Program, dialectical behavior therapy, and advanced level training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). 

Genya enjoys giving back to the counseling profession by supervising, teaching, and training students or interns striving to become professional counselors and helping others to improve their lives and wellbeing.
