Martina’s primary focus is to help restore families and individuals to a productive lifestyle through counseling and mediation services.
Martina S. Moore is a Counselor specializing in substance abuse, women’s issues, and marriage and family issues. She is the President of Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc. This organization provides Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to area businesses, facilitates counseling and mediation cases, and provides consultation services. In the past nine years Martina had been the director at Laurelwood Hospital Mental Health & Addiction Services in Willoughby, Ohio. Under Martina’s leadership, Laurelwood Hospital became the first treatment center in Ohio to be an approved provider for the Physicians board, Nursing Board, Dental Board, and the Legal Board for attorneys.
Martina holds a Master’s degree from John Carroll University in Community Counseling and Human Services, and a Bachelor’s of Art’s degree from Notre Dame College in Psychology. She is a trained Gestalt Family Therapist, from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC), a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and a Certified Mediator.
Martina has provided EAP training and professional development services for area businesses over the past four years. She has been a provider of CEU workshop trainings for the Ohio Department of Addiction Services, The Counselor and Social Worker Board, and the State of Ohio Nursing Board.
Martina has served as a member of the Summit County Addiction Council and the Geauga County Mental Health Committee.
